Life Is So Exciting - I'm Flying

You may have been wandering where I disappeared to. Well, things have been so exciting for me this last little while that I have not had a great deal of time to "PLAY".

I've been trying to write for some time now - I've had a novel in the pipeline for many years - it's a 3 generation saga with a story very close to my heart. I also have a few other things I have wanted to make books of, but I always get so far and then loose interest because I want everything to be done instantly. Well, I now have no more reason to make excuses.

Last weekend I went to London for a 3 day seminar with a motivational speaker I have been an acolyte of for about a decade. He and his team kept us on the edge of our seats for the whole three days. To say that what I learnt has "changed my life" would probably sound like a cliche, but believe me, it has. I am so excited that I have yet to come down to earth - I almost hope I never do.

Although what they had to share with us was not necessarily new to me, it has brought a lot more clarity toward where my life is heading and how to go about achieving my goals.

Part of the seminar was aimed at aspirant writers like myself. They covered a section on how to go about putting a successful book together and also offered a publishing program, which I hope to avail myself of once I have things together. Anyhow, I have a couple of possible books partially completed and my mission is now to complete them. I also have a commission to do research toward a possible further book on a particular very interesting subject and am in the processes of recruiting a Mastermind Group to discuss the subject. I have a number of people who have already joined the group from all over the world.

Right - so now you know what I'm up to if I'm not around much.
I'm Phoenix Rising ! Want to join me?

Mother Nature

Last week - or the end of it at any rate - turned out to be really rough. To help me rest and recover the Big Guy took me away for the weekend, hopefully to get me to take a break from the computer .... LOL. I don't sleep too well in a strange bed though - and the break was visiting his mother! As dear as she is to me, I am never totally comfortable with her, and she lives in a freezing house, so it was great to come home to my own abode, to my own kitchen, bed and a properly central heated dwelling.

Any how - it's now Tuesday and the week is already rushing away with me. But I do feel a bit more rejuvenated. I spent most of yesterday sorting out my mail box, dumping rubbish and saving files I need to keep. This poor old computer of mine is as weary as me, LOL. I finally got a scan done last night - it only finished this morning - and we are all clean and ready to go again. So - the news is: I have a new kit for y'all - and it's a freebie!

I have been working on putting this together for a short while. I chose the colours a while back from something I saw and liked so much - yes I snuck them out of something I saw on a blog site somewhere - don't remember where. And I came up with something that I felt related to the season, earth rejuvenating itself and loosing some of the grey, but not quite bright and breezy yet - so here is my "MOTHER NATURE" kit.

Download HERE

or click on the preview to go to 4shared.

I used this kit for one of the LOs I made for my daughter, Stel. She and her boyfriend went out to dinner 6th August last year with a group of friends at Charlie Croft's, a very popular restaurant in Durban, SA.

With that done - I thought I'd share something about me. Some of you know my passion, but I'm sure that not all of you do. I'm simply crazy about cats! But at present I don't own any personally. I am visited regularly by the tom cat from next door - my home is open to him whenever he wishes to visit. He has his own place to sleep with a warm crocheted afghan on a couch in my lounge! Spoilt hey? But then all my kitties have been spoilt like that - they are so worth all the love you can give them, and contrary to what many people think about cats being solitary animals, they love to be loved and give back all the love you can give them.

I'm actually hoping soon to get a cat of my own, but it will have to be the opposite of Tom. He is a black short hair with white socks, a tiny white bib and a white spot on his chin just like a goatee beard, LOL. But I am wanting a female white long hair with blue eyes! Do you think I'm going to get lucky? We will see. But I have got to admit that I enjoy having Tom around. The Big Guy and I call him "Sweet Boy" because he is just so dear - comes and talks to us so sweetly, purrs for a dozen cats. Ah - such a sweet sound! My heart broke for him yesterday as he got locked inside when his people went to work and I could hear him crying at times through the day. I can't blame them though - we were supposed to have abysmal weather yesterday with lots of wind and rain - not weather for cats - not even ducks! Today the sun has actually come out and he's out doing his rounds; I know I'm not the only one he visits in the neighbourhood! Ah well - Toms will be toms, LOL.

I'm going to be heart broken when we leave this house as we will have to leave our dear friend behind. We are, however, looking for a new abode - something a bit bigger - something that has enough room to swing a cat, LOL.

Eh Bien, I think that's about all for this morning. Remember, if you are looking for anymore of my kits you can shivvy over to hanneicasdigitalartsandcrafts.com. There you'll find my scrap goodies and my PSP tutorials as well. And pop back to my blog again - I might have something special for y'all soon.

Until we are together again, take care.......

Some Kind Of Bragging

I know that I have been very quiet for a while. We had a wonderful time away over the festive season; I just wish it had snowed, but it didn't - not then at anyrate. It has waited until now to give us some white soft precipitation, but it has hardly been anough to speak of.

The last month or so has been right hectic. At the end of January my daughter in SouthAfrica asked me if I'd make her a scrap album for her and her partner, who have been together now for a year. I hadn't expected the deluge of photos she sent me. I don't think she has any idea how much effort goes into producing one layout, not the way I like to make them, let alone the number she seemed to want me to make. That aside, I am almost finished them and thought I'd share one with you.

Let me introduce you to Craig and Stel.

Stel is 28, Craig is a little younger but they make a wonderful couple.
He has made her so happy and I guess that is what counts.
I'll have another one for you soon, tomorrow if I can fit it in my tight schedule.
I have finally got an appointment tomorrow to see someone about the problems I have relating to my back. I hurt it badly going down a waterfall in Rhodesia in my teens. I do so hope they are going to be able to help me with the pain - it has become unbearable and very difficult to control; that's to say nothing of the problems I am having with mobility - or lack there of. Well - I'll see tomorrow what they have to say and if they can do anything for me.
I'm now off to go and create a new scrap kit - It will be called "Mother Nature". I have some ideas for it but I'll see what comes out of this creative mind of mine.
Talk to you all again soon -- Have a great day.
Hugs and Bright Blessings

Yuletide 2007

What a month it has been. I truly wanted to create a host of scrap kits this month but have been waylaid every which way I turn. It is quite amazing how all the way through the process of setting up my website I have been faced with one unknown after another; you name it and the dung has been slung at me. But I plod on and usually I get through it and survive.

After having finally launched my website, I was faced with trying to find some way to provide a member area for my exclusive PSP tutorials. This has given me quite a headache. The program I use to write my website provides a page keycode system, but unless I use their server, they claim it will not work! I don't use their sever as their rates are exorbitant - I use what I hope is the most economical and supportive server I know of. When I asked for their assistance on this matter, my server's support team came back to me with a lot of "Computer Geek" language that was gobbledegook to me. The only thing I understood was the URL they provided to a site that gave links to programs - or whatever - that do what I require. Today I have to try and plow through the bumph I have received along with the machinations to drive the membership area of my website. Wish me luck!

Anyhow - Complaints aside - I have something for you all today. As it is almost Christmas - with today being the shortest day of the year, it is the eave of what I know as Yule - I have a special Kit for you - and it's a FREEBIE ! Its called "Holy Night". I hope you all will like it and enjoy using it.

The kit comes with 8 papers and a selection of elements.

It also has a lovely star studded overlay which you can use as a separate layer over a layour, or as an overlay layer. It's just a bit of fun really.

I hope you will enjoy using this kit. It is only available until 6 January 2008, so hurry over to my corner of cyberspace and grab it today.

The kit can be found HERE.

Please leave me a message so I know you have been by to visit. You may share the link with pleasure as long as you give me credit.

May I take this opportunity to wish you and your families
A Blessed Yule, A Very Merry Christmas, & A Happy New Year.

Brightest Blessings

28 November 2007

Hello Again Friends
Things are progressing nicely now that I have my website up and running.
I'm not nearly as stressed as I was and I'm enjoying doing graphics again.
I hope that more of you are going to come over there and visit me sometime.
I have a new scrap kit there for you. It's called Summer Meadow.
It may be more suitable for our southern hemisphere friends than it is for this side of the earth at this time. Our weather is rather grim for now; the skies are grey, and all too often, its raining that incessant dribble from the clouds that hang heavy over the land.

On a brighter note --- Here's a preview of Summer Meadow:

You'll find it in my Scrap Shoppe HERE - look for it on the KITS page.

There's a freebie available on the kits page as well !

I hope you will all enjoy using this kit.
Happy Scrapping.
Hugs and Bright Blessings
